Is olaplex good for low porosity hair?

Readers of this blog may be wondering is Olaplex good for low porosity hair, or what they can do to make their hair less porous. This is where the Olaplex hair treatment comes in to play.

This product has been known to be good for people with low porosity hair because it strengthens the hair and repairs damage.

Today, I’m going to try the Olaplex hair treatment on my low-porosity, protein-sensitive hair. I’ve tried this once before, but just on the front pieces because the front pieces are less protein-sensitive.

I just want to test it before I put it on the rest of my hair, because my hair is very protein-sensitive and it’s extremely low porosity from what I’ve seen in the front part of my hair.

It didn’t seem like too much of a strong protein treatment, but I’ve always heard about all the results people were having, so I’ve always wanted to try it. It’s the Olaplex number 3. It says repairs and strengthens all hair types.

How does Olaplex work?

Olaplex is a breakthrough product that repairs your hair from inside out. It makes your hair stronger and less likely to break.

The amazing Olaplex molecule works by strengthening and repairing the structure of the hair. It’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before!

Olaplex will penetrate the hair shaft and seal the cuticle layer of the hair to prevent breakage and tangling.

this reminds me of a red-cell conditioner texture, so it will be easy to absorb it into my hair and this is the perfect time to do a protein treatment.

How to use Olaplex on low porosity hair?

It says to use before shampoo, but the thing is because my hair is extremely low porosity I’m going to use this as a protein treatment after washing my hair because it’s very hard for anything to absorb into my hair because i have low porosity.

Experienced users recommend using Olaplex 3 three times a week for damaged hair and at least once every 2 weeks if you have low porosity hair.

Wet hair well before using Olaplex 3 and apply it from roots to ends. The instruction for the product says that the longer you leave it on your hair, the better. On average, users apply the product for 30-60 minutes.

I didn’t put any conditioner in my hair, so I’m going to section off my hair and apply the product. So I have a spray bottle here with warm to hot water and this allows me to absorb in more product into my hair.

It just slightly raises the cuticles and makes my hair more flexible and easier to manage. I’m going to pour some into my hands and the consistency is very thin, which is perfect.

because I think I’m going to put my hair back into a protective style, so far I’m liking the fact that it absorbs my hair really well, it’s not the best, but it does a good job.

I also like that I can tell the protein treatment is working right away, which is so weird because it usually takes a little while for my hair to react to protein.

I usually use bigger sections when I do my hair because I’m testing out a new product I want to make sure I cover my hair strands really well because it’s going to really help me determine how well or like how my hair reacts to the product.

What is Olaplex hair treatment

Olaplex is a treatment that helps to partially restore chemical and thermal damage of our hair by strengthening the disulfide bonds.

Olaplex is a 3-step process that repairs the bonds in the hair – caused by harsh chemical treatments like bleaching and coloring – with an environmentally safe solution. The treatment works on a molecular level to repair damaged hair.

Is Olaplex safe to use on protein sensitive hair

I definitely need a lot more protein in the front bangs because it’s a different texture. So if you have coarse hair like I do, which is protein sensitive, I would say still give it a try. I would say it’s

safe for protein sensitive hair, just you can’t use it too often of course because you’ll get protein overload, but I do definitely feel like I actually do like the protein in here so far. I’m going to do

I would like to do some more research on the actual protein because I wasn’t familiar with this protein ingredient. It’s a new cosmetic ingredient, so I’ll definitely do more research on that. I liked how it felt to my hair because a lot of the other

protein treatments that I do try for my protein-sensitive hair sometimes they’re just so light that I don’t feel like it did enough for my hair to be honest. I put protein in my hair often.

Throughout the week, I’ll sometimes prefer something stronger. Overall, I like the consistency. I liked how it really absorbed into my hair strands because it’s so light and consistent.

you know that your hair is gonna really drench this product but yeah like I understand now I get why people rave a lot about this product cuz I definitely would keep this into my natural hair routine and especially for those that have colored hair I can see this working really well.

Conclusion:

I’m really happy that I tried it because I definitely needed a protein-based treatment and you know, so that’s kind of all I think I could say about this product.
