Jamaican Mango And Lime Tingle Shampoo Review

Jamaican Mango And Lime Tingle Shampoo Review

Looking for a Jamaican Mango And Lime Tingle Shampoo Review? II am a proud plumpy Jamaican woman… before I over digress, l had to control the urge to watch other reviews before this post so that my opinion is not swayed in any way.

This is my honest review of the Jamaican Mango & Lime Shampoo. I have used this products religiously for about six years, so I guess I am qualified to review.

Just as its name goes the “tingle” in the shampoo is real; and that’s the best part of it. The Jamaican Mango And Lime Tingle Shampoo, gives you a tingly feeling on your scalp when you use it leaving your scalp feeling clean.

Now that I wash my hair myself it gets slightly uncomfortable when it gets around my eyes. ( I wash from the back of my head to the front under a shower). It smells great.

The Jamaican Mango And Lime Tingle Shampoo doesn’t lather exceptional well, it takes about 2 washes before I begin to see the kind of lather that makes you feel your hair is clean. This may also mean my hair is always very dirty which I would like to think not.

It is also one of those products that are made specifically for locs, so that helps reduce some paranoia on whether or not it is good for your locs.

The Jamaican Mango and Lime Tingle Shampoo is also all about cleaning your locs, it feels like my locs strands are being stripped when I use it.

It almost feels like a clarifying Shampoo. With that being said I’ll recommend you always use a conditioner after using this product or as an alternative you can mix it with essential oils (I have never tried mixing).

How To Use The Jamaican Mango And Lime Tingle Shampoo

Wet hair thoroughly using warm water. Then pour a small amount into hand and distribute throughout the hair. Massage scalp with fingertips. Rinse and repeat.

Thoroughly rinse shampoo from the hair and towel blot. Follow with Jamaican Mango & Lime Protein Conditioner.

Can I Wash My Dreads With Just Water?

Technically you can “wash” your locs with just water, but it’s not recommended because it doesn’t remove dirt or buildup. Water alone will only get your hair wet. Getting your hair wet helps to moisturize your dreads, but it doesn’t do anything to clean them.

Can I Wash My Dreads With A Bar Soap?

Don’t wash your dreads by rubbing the bar against it. If you do, you will see residue build ups in a few months.

A shampoo bar can be one of the most pure, and 100% residue free shampoo you will ever find. Sadly, it will still leave residue in your hair if you use too much of it.

Should You Use Shampoo On Your Dreadlocks?

Yes, you need to use a shampoo that leaves no residues behind in your hair and removes residues that are in your hair.

The reason using this kind of shampoo is so important when you have dreadlocks is because dreadlocks like to hold stuff. … I recommend Jamaican Mango And Lime Shampoo

Is Jamaican Mango And Lime Shampoo Residue Free

Yes the Jamaican Mango And Lime Shampoo gives your scalp a refreshing tingle and strips away all of the residue from using oils to moisturize your hair and scalp.

Which Shampoos Are Residue Free?

Most shampoos and conditioners leave behind some type of residue on your hair, which may cause it to become dull, greasy or laden with heavy byproducts.

Most hair types are able to retain their desired style and texture in spite of shampoo residue, but if you have or plan to have dreadlocks, shampoo with residue can seriously compromise the look you are trying to achieve.

According to PerfectDreadlocks.com, dreadlocks tend to hold onto residue more tightly because of the way the hair is packed together.

The lubrication of residue can cause the dreadlock knots to come unraveled, and may also lead to itchy and irritated scalp because of buildup.

Dreadlock wearers, as well as those simply seeking a cleaner wash, may benefit from residue-free shampoo.

Dreadhead Dread Soap

Dread Soap is a residue-free shampoo that is part of the Dreadhead line of hair care products for dreadlocks.

The company says this product is an all-natural soap product that features cocoa nut surfactants, which are designed to clean hair without leaving any product behind.

It is fragrance-free and said to not leave a scent. Its ingredients are vegan, and it also is designed to speed up the dreadlock “locking” process, the company notes.

Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo

This residue-free shampoo is also meant to neutralize the effects left by the residue of other shampoos and conditioners.

According to Neutrogena, this product, which is intended for all hair types, should be used once a week in order to rinse away any existing residue.

The company reports that this product can wash away about 95 percent of residue left behind by other products. The product is described as non-irritating and clean rinsing.

Unilocs Residue Free Shampoo

Another product specifically designed for use with dreadlocks, Unilocs Residue Free Shampoo is made by Chatto, a natural and organic hair and skincare company.

According to Chatto, Unilocs Residue Free Shampoo provides a clean wash while strengthening and nourishing your hair.

It is said to repair split ends and generate growth in areas that are broken or damaged. The product contains a blend of essential oils and various other natural ingredients, the company says.

Conclusion

So on a scale of 1-10, I’ll give the shampoo an 9.5 because I wish it lathered more. I have no complaints at all, but I’m sure there’s something better out there.
