Split ends weaken your hair from the ends to the roots.

If you let split ends reach the scalp, things can get quite messy as it can be difficult to know what to do. You’ll have two obvious options; I’m sure you don’t want to deal with that type of situation.

Split ends are a problem that can occur if you have damaged your cuticle cells. If you’ve brushed too hard or pulled your hair too much, it can create breakage and expose the scalp. This will result in fewer cuticle cells and less hair bulbs which will ultimately lead to thinning hair.

If your hair is split and reaches the scalp, it will decrease your volume. This can lead to alopecia or baldness

It sounds scary, doesn’t it?

However, relax because  split ends reaching the scalp is practically impossible.

Second, you can still make it more impossible if you know the best way to prevent those split ends from overpowering your hair.

So, let’s start at the beginning.

HOW SPLIT ENDS ORIGINATE

Split ends are inevitable in hair because it’s a byproduct of wear and tear from time and external factors.

For example, they could be chemical processes, exposure to the sun’s rays, or the abuse of heat tools.

Remember that your hair strands are like roving sheep. You need to manage them properly to avoid tangles, otherwise they hold together and irritate the scalp.

Washing wool excessively and exposing it to extreme weather can cause the yarn in woolen items and fabric to weaken.

They’ll start to open up into small strands that will increase without the proper care.

A hair strand will undergo the same process.

That’s why you should prevent split ends. Do you want to know how?

I’ll tell you about it below.

HOW TO PREVENT SPLIT ENDS

Split ends can sometimes be more difficult to identify than their origin. Why not ask for some help?

Do your homework and you’ll be able to determine the origin of these unsightly hair growths.

Let’s look at each of them separately.

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR SPLIT ENDS REACH YOUR SCALP DUE TO MECHANICAL ISSUES

It’s common for people to use heaters incorrectly, which can result in a number of problems. The most frequent consequence is dry hair that’s brittle & damaged.

Direct, excessive heat on your hair causes an intense drying which may cause split ends.

So tell me, how do you wash and dry your hair?

I know you’re sure that you use shampoo and dry with a towel. But I think it’s important to do it with the care.

No matter how much you try, you won’t make your hair shiny. Instead, it’ll only break.

It’s important to wash and rub your hair regularly, which will help prevent split ends. However, it’s not recommended to use hot water while doing so.

Using hot water on your hair can actually cause cuticle breakage and lead to split ends.
