1. Coconut shampoo and baking soda mix

  • Why not use a mixture of coconut shampoo and baking soda to fade the dye
  • Coconut shampoo (your favorite brand)
  • Baking soda (2 teaspoons) 

Step by step:

  • Place two teaspoons of baking soda in your coconut shampoo and mix until everything is evenly distributed
  • Wet your hair, apply shampoo with baking soda mixture throughout your hair don’t scrub.
  • Massage it properly in your hair until you get a good lather and let it sit for five minutes.
  • Rinse with plenty of water.
  • Use this mixture until the Splat hair dye has faded.

Comb your hair in a middle part, ensuring that you’re wearing gloves. Then, with your fingers, apply the warm oil from root to tip and leave it on for 20 minutes.

Apply the oil regularly and wash your hair with water and shampoo to remove any excess oils. You will notice the color starts to fade in around 3-4 weeks.

3. Conditioner with Ceramides

In this case, what you’ll need is a conditioner with sulfates and ceramides. Why?

When you have sulfates in your hair, it removes the pigment. Ceramides, on the other hand, are a natural component of your hair that protect its fibers.

This is why sulfates can weaken the bond between fibres and leave you with depleted strands that break easily and lead to hair loss.

Comb your hair with the comb, spray it with the water like you would a shirt, and then run your fingers through it to get any little tangles out.

Apply the conditioner only to your ends to avoid over-drying. leave it on for 5 mins.

You’ll notice that when you comb your hair, sometimes you’ll get some conditioner that’s been dyed the color of your hair.

Rinse thoroughly.

This method removes up to 80% of the dye, meaning it’s best to use it up to twice.
